Uncle Bill was Grandma Florence’s younger brother. In 1919, he has just returned from WW I. I cannot be sure which Ethel he was referring to in his note — there is Ethel Koontz Griste, Bill’s and Florence’s sister and then there is Ethel Chidester, Uncle Bill’s future wife – they were married in 1921. There should be a rule that you cannot marry someone with the same first name as your sibling!
