Remembering Aunt Teen –

AuntTeen

Aunt Teen and Uncle David Rinehart (before 1907)

Christiana Weaver Rinehart Schwartz passed away 85 years ago, 25 February 1934, in Columbus, Franklin Co, Ohio.  Aunt Teen was my great grandfather, Lemuel Weaver’s sister.  She and Uncle David had no children and she took a great interest in my grandfather, Lee Weaver.   There were numerous postcards in his collection that recounted invitations to come visit and  notification of Christmas gifts (always cash) sent.  After the death of Uncle David, Aunt Teen married Charles Schwartz and she and Uncle Charlie keep up the interest in the various nieces and nephews — my grandfather being the furthest away received special consideration.  I remember Grandpa talking fondly of Aunt Teen and Uncle Charlie and visiting them on the farm in Ohio during the summer.

Christiana Weaver was born 4 April 1849 in Perry County, Ohio, to Gottlieb Weber [Goodliff Weaver] and Anne Lane.  She married David Rinehart on 28 March 1887 in Franklin County, Ohio.  He preceded her in death on 15 June 1850.   Marriage to Charles W. Schwartz was on 16 April 1913, also in Franklin County, Ohio.  Aunt Teen is buried in Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.

About Pat Shaul

Genealogist / Family Historian; Blog started as a record of my Grandfather's post card collection which ran for 15 months. Then, in June, 2017, I changed over to reporting and commenting on notifications from the ANCESTRY app "We're Related" I then started to provide snippets into ancestor biographies on the dates that were significant anniversaries.
